NMRA Memorial Racquet
Joe Lambert, a long time member of the NMRA had an idea 6 years ago. He wanted to honor all of those members of the NMRA who had passed away. He found an artist near his home in Plano, TX and commissioned him to design a suitable Memorial. The artist created a large, black, stainless steel Memorial Racquet. When each member of the NMRA passes away, Joe has a 'black ball' disc made with the members name, home state, and date of passing engraved on the disc. The discs are hung on the Memorial Racquet Strings.
The Memorial Racquet is proudly displayed every July at our International Championship Event as a way for our players and guests to pay a special tribute to passed friends and competitors.
