The purpose of the National Masters Racquetball Association (NMRA) International Hall of Fame is to honor those past or present members of the NMRA who have made significant contributions either as a highly skilled and accomplished competitor with an outstanding playing record of medal wins and true sportsmanship /or/ as a dedicated and skilled volunteer leadership person who has given of their time and talents to the growth of quality programs and activities of the NMRA. There are two Hall of Fame Categories: Player Competitor Performance and Outstanding Volunteer Leadership Services Leader. Nomination and selection to the Hall of Fame is based on years of consistent and significant achievement, highlighted by outstanding personal sportsmanship of the highest quality.

 

Eligibility criteria, nomination and voting procedures can be found in the NMRA International Hall of Fame By-Laws, Policy and Procedure Manual. NMRA Racquetball International Hall of Fame

Ken Moore was inducted into the National Masters Racquetball International Hall of Fame at the organization's summer tournament membership banquet held at Kansas City, Kansas in July, 2007. He is the 33rd inductee to the prestigious Hall of Fame since it’s first tournament in 1971. Ken and his wife Claudia live in Granite Bay, CA. He plays at several clubs in the Sacramento area and began his enjoyment of racquetball in 1980 at the age of 46. Now at the age of 73 he has won numerous state, regional and national titles. His training program over the years has been competing in 13 marathons, daily distance running and a daily round of golf. Moore began a career as a locomotive fireman and over the 39 years advanced to Vice President of Operations for Southern Pacific Rail. He and his wife Claudia have just celebrated fifty three years of marriage with their two children and three grandchildren. All members of the family attended the festivities at Kansas City. Ken’s hobbies include time with his grandchildren and has completed two “High Adventure” trips with the Boy Scouts in the Rocky Mountain area.
