WHY
A FUTURE FUND ENDOWMENT PROGRAM IS NEEDED While NMRA membership and tournament attendance are showing very rapid growth, the workload has increased right along with this growth. Also, there are many long and short-term projects and goals that must be realized in order to sustain the organization and to achieve greater success, organizational stability and productivity. The NMRA Board of Directors has appointed an Advisory Task Force to provide leadership in the development and formation of an endowment program. Our organization has recently been granted a "not for profit" tax exempt status. This tax exempt status permits individuals, groups or corporations to make financial contributions and personal gifts that may be tax deductible, providing the donor itemizes the contributions. Donations can be offered in a lump sum, pledged over a period of years, or, should the donor chose, included in ones will or estate. The NMRA Board of Directors has responsibility for the Future Fund Endowment Program and related funds. All contributions will be invested. ONLY the dividend earnings will be placed in the NMRA annual operating budget, to be used to implement the programs and the following goals. GOALS OF THE NMRA
